The Challenge
Headquartered in Guildford, Surrey, Lovetts Solicitors have specialised in debt recovery and dispute resolution for 30 years. They provide their clients with a fast, transparent and cost-effective debt recovery service, even assisting with international debt recovery.
While Lovetts had been using another payment provider, capabilities were limited, and integration with their internal reconciliation processes was difficult. As such, there was a general dissatisfaction with the limitations of their previous payment provider, and Andrew Dancy, the company’s IT director knew they needed an upgrade.
“Our previous provider’s payment system lacked API functionality and didn’t have the breadth of other features we wanted,” he said.
The Solution
Andrew found that Blink Payment ticked all the boxes in terms of payment types – but it was our customisable recurring payments feature and its flexibility that particularly drew Andrew to us. This feature meant that Lovetts weren’t restricted to setting up a fixed recurring payment schedule on a specific date only, which was a huge benefit.
They also liked the ability to send payment links via text message and e-mail, making it more convenient and quicker for debt customers to pay. Previously, accepting payments via bank transfer had been the norm for Lovetts, and the new payment link feature has boosted conversion rates and saved a great deal of time, with less time spent chasing customers to transfer via BACS.
The virtual terminal functionality has also meant that the Lovetts team can take payments without relying on a physical terminal, and the enhanced security aspect has provided both customers and staff members with additional peace of mind.
The Outcome
Lovetts Solicitors has witnessed a remarkable difference across the board since choosing the Blink Payment platform. Not only do we offer more features and a more user-friendly experience, we’re also more cost-efficient than their previous provider. Enhanced security is another reason Andrew and his team chose us: “Another thing that was in your favour is you’ve got proper two-factor authentication,” he said.
The ability to send payment links, multiple payment methods, the option of customised recurring transaction schedules, and the use of the virtual terminal have elevated Lovett’s payment processes.
As a result, an increase in the number of payments they’re recovering has generated more revenue and new clients. The ability to view whether a customer has opened a message also provides more insight.
Andrew is now working on integrating Blink Payment into Lovetts’ internal management software, thus enhancing the user experience too. He’s also looking forward to our new version of recurring payments.
